Biography

Charlotte is a senior associate in MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ banking and financial services team. She advises in a range of areas, with broad experience including dispute resolution, general corporate finance, property and construction and project finance. Charlotte has expertise in insolvency, debt recovery and enforcement, and realisation of securities and provides advice to many of New Zealand’s largest trading banks, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners. Charlotte is often instructed to assist with enforcement and recovery issues and related proceedings, and regularly deals with receiverships and liquidations, and personal property securities issues. In recent years, Charlotte has attended numerous Farm Debt Mediations relating to a range of primary production businesses.

Biography

Sean is an experienced commercial litigation lawyer whose expertise spans a broad range of commercial and contract disputes. He has a leading reputation for both his litigation and general advisory practice relating to receivership and insolvency law, security enforcement, restructuring and corporate recovery and has acted for a number of banks in relation to farm debt mediations. As a leading insolvency and restructuring lawyer, Sean advises secured and unsecured creditors, lending syndicates, insolvency practitioners, corporates, boards, and other stakeholders, and regularly acts for banks and all major insolvency advisory firms. He is often called upon to advise on directors’ duties, provide front end structuring and insolvency advice, security reviews and general commercial advice. Named in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific’s Hall of Fame for restructuring and insolvency, Sean’s expertise is also recognised by other major legal directories, including Chambers Asia-Pacific.

Biography

Penny is an arbitrator, mediator and conciliator based in Wellington. She is a Fellow of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ) and a former chief executive of AMINZ. She is on the AMINZ panel of mediators, the NZDRC panels for arbitration and mediation, the Domain Name Commission mediation panel, and is a member of the National Panel of Conciliators for farming disputes. With a background in the farming sector as a dairy farmer and a provincial president of Federated Farmers, Penny is a specialist in farming contracts, livestock agreements, and farm equity partnerships. Her company, Resolution World, provides consulting in dispute resolution.
