Lawyers for Climate Action, the New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law, and the Legal Research Foundation are proud to welcome you to the Climate in the Courtroom: New Zealand Climate Litigation Conference 2026.
The conference will be held at the Fale Pasifika, University of Auckland, on 26 and 27 March 2026.
Ten years on from the signing of the Paris Agreement, climate litigation continues to grow both in New Zealand and overseas. Join leaders in domestic and international climate litigation - from judges, to academics, scientists, and senior practitioners - to discuss and debate key developments and emerging issues.
26th March – in person evening judicial panel chaired by Rt Hon Dame Helen Winkelmann, Chief Justice of New Zealand. This event is hosted by the NZ Centre for Environmental Law and the Legal Research Foundation
27th March – one day conference with online and in-person attendance, followed by drinks and nibbles.
