Welcome to the Brown Bag series for 2025. 

The Brown Bag series of seminars is open to all but aimed predominantly at less experienced practitioners. 

The aim of the series is to enable such practitioners to learn from the judiciary and senior members of the profession about topical procedural and substantive issues in the law.  This year’s offering follows that format.

The LRF has arranged for three senior members of the judiciary and two senior members of the profession to share their knowledge.  The seminars will involve acknowledged subject-matter experts talking about:  the decision to prosecute, The Insolvency List, The work of the Court of Appeal, International Criminal tribunals and The Duty Judge's list.  We encourage firms to support their more junior solicitors to attend these seminars.

The seminars will be held over the lunch period of 1pm to 2pm in an informal setting at one of five leading law firms in Auckland.
